Enduro Series - Persistence 444km Ride

The third event of the "WCCG Enduro Series" is the Persistence 444km through the Divine Girivalam Path

Date - 2nd July, Saturday

Start Time - July 2nd, 05:00AM

Cut off Time - 30:00 hours

End Time - July 3rd, 11.00am

Route - Decathlon Perungudi - ECR - Marakanam - Tindivanam - Villupuram - Thiruvanamalai - Girivalam - Gingee - Tindivanam - Chengalpet - Chrompet - Pallikarnai - Decathlon Perungudi

Starting from Decathlon, Perungudi the riders will ride on ECR till Marakanam where they will turn towards Tindivanam where they join the GST road. The riders proceed straight towards Villupuram Byepass where they take right to Thiruvanamalai via Vetavellam. It's the most scenic part of the route and riders can witness sunset behind the hills. On reaching TVmalai they ride on the Girivalam path and snap a selfie at I Luv TVmalai. From here they will exit on the Gingee Tindivanam Road. From Tindivanam take the GST reach the end point Decathlon Perungudi via Chrompet - Pallikarnai.

Note - The ride is entirely Self Supported

Registration Fee - Rs. 666 (Including 18% GST)

Minimum eligibility for participation in the ride - Having completed a 300+km ride before

Mandatory for the ride

1. Printed Chennai Cyclist Rider ID tagged to your bicycles in front/back. You could generate it for yourself and print and tag it on your own, ID-Card
2. Helmet is mandatory
3. Powerful front light and red tail light is mandatory.
4. Reflective vest is mandatory.

Dont’s:

1. Aero bars shall not be used at any point of time
2. Any rider who quit the ride shall not expect support from the volunteers. Only on medical emergencies, volunteers would be able to support. All volunteers are posted to support the riders who are continuing their ride
3. On any situation, rider who missed CP time or rode the event without registration, should not claim their finishers badge

Is there any time limit for completing the 444km Ride?

Yes, 30 hours is the cut off time for the ride finish. Ride starts from Decathlon OMR Perungudi on 2nd July 05.00 AM and the ride shall be finished within 3rd July 11.00 AM

Is it a physical in person event?

Yes, all riders have to physically report to Decathlon, OMR Perungudi and ride in the planned route. The event is not virtual

Are there any age limit for participating in this ride?

Yes, only riders above the age of 18 is allowed
